The playback client for your CDN traffic.
A white-label, content-neutral media player for every screen — state-of-the-art HTML5 and native clients, fully cross-platform — provisioned per business customer, fed by the NagaOne edge network, protected by industry DRM. Live, catch-up, time-shift, recording and on-demand from one client, on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Smart TVs — with ADvoid ad skipping, QRPlay instant access and SmartSub AI subtitles built in.
Business-to-business product. The NagaOne Player contains no content, channels or playlists of its own and offers no self-registration. It plays only what a NagaOne business customer provisions for its own end users through a private configuration. End users obtain access, credentials and support from that customer, which holds all rights to the content it distributes. Consumers cannot purchase or subscribe to this product from NagaOne. See Terms of Service §3 and Privacy Policy §5.
Everything a modern TV service needs — in one client
Built around the same edge network that delivers the streams, the player turns the CDN's time-shift and origin capabilities into features your end users can actually use.
Live & low-latency
HLS, MPEG-DASH and CMAF with adaptive bitrate, LL-HLS and LL-DASH support, fast channel zapping with pre-buffered variants and instant start from the nearest edge.
Time-shift & instant replay
Pause, rewind and jump back within the live stream using the CDN's time-shift window — hours or days, configured per channel — with a scrubbable timeline and "back to live".
Catch-up & EPG
Programme-based catch-up straight from the guide: XMLTV or JSON EPG ingestion, "start over" for the running programme, and 7- or 14-day replay archives served from edge storage.
Recording (nPVR)
Series and single-programme recordings scheduled from the EPG, stored in the customer's edge storage, with per-user quotas, retention rules and playback on any of the user's devices.
Video on demand
Catalogue, categories and search for VOD libraries, resume across devices, playlists, trailers and bumper support, packaged on the fly by the Media Optimizer.
Multi-audio & subtitles
Multiple audio tracks, WebVTT, TTML/IMSC and CEA-608/708 captions, forced narratives, audio description tracks and per-user language defaults.
Casting & second screen
Google Cast and AirPlay from mobile to TV, with DRM-protected sessions handed over correctly and the remote device kept inside the customer's entitlement rules.
Offline downloads
Download-to-go for VOD and recordings with offline DRM licences, expiry windows and storage management — where the customer's rights allow it.
Profiles & parental control
Multiple profiles per account, kids profiles with rating filters, PIN-protected channels and purchases, and viewing-time limits — all enforced by the customer's entitlement rules.
Multi-view & sports mode
Up to four streams on one screen, picture-in-picture, multi-camera and multi-commentary selection for sports and events, and quick-swap between them without rebuffering.
Cloud sync
Favourites, resume positions, recordings and settings follow the user across devices through the customer's account — start on the phone, continue on the TV.
Search & discovery
Unified search across live, catch-up, recordings and VOD, "now & next" rails, reminders for upcoming programmes and channel favourites with custom ordering.
Accessibility
Screen-reader support, high-contrast and large-text modes, audio description tracks, subtitle styling and keyboard or remote-only navigation on every platform.
Operator analytics
Real-time viewing statistics, QoE dashboards, top channels and programmes, device and region breakdowns — for the customer's team, aggregated and privacy-preserving.
White-label UI
Customer logo, colour scheme, channel ordering, feature flags and legal texts are all part of the configuration — one binary, many brands, no app-store resubmission for branding changes.
Three things your viewers will notice first
Built on top of the edge time-shift archive and the Media Optimizer, these are the features that turn a player into a product.
Skip the breaks
Automatic detection of advertising breaks in recordings, catch-up and time-shifted playback. Viewers get a one-tap "skip break" or fully automatic playback without interruptions — configured per channel by the customer for content where its rights allow it. Break markers are generated once at the edge and shared across all viewers, so the player stays lightweight.
TV in seconds — hotels, rentals, on the go
A guest scans a QR code on the room TV, the info screen or a printed card, and their own phone or tablet becomes the remote and the second screen — with the property's channel line-up, language and check-out expiry applied automatically. No app account, no pairing menus, no credentials to type: the session lives exactly as long as the stay. Ideal for hotels, serviced apartments, cruise ships, clinics and corporate campuses, and for the guest who wants to keep watching from the pool.
AI subtitles on demand
Subtitles and translations generated on request when a programme has none: speech recognition and translation run at the edge, cached per asset and delivered as standard WebVTT to every device. Live channels get near-real-time captions with a few seconds of delay; recordings and catch-up get full-quality passes. Language selection, accessibility settings and per-customer enablement are part of the configuration.
Player and edge, designed as one system
The player speaks the CDN's language natively — signed URLs, edge time-shift, origin shield, real-time telemetry — so the features above work without middleware.
Industry DRM, in every direction
Studio-grade protection for premium content, enforced consistently from the packager at the edge to the last screen — including casting, downloads and recordings.
Multi-DRM
Google Widevine (L1/L3), Apple FairPlay Streaming and Microsoft PlayReady from a single CENC/CBCS-encrypted asset — the right system is selected automatically per device.
Key management
Key rotation for live, per-asset keys for VOD, licence policies for offline and rental windows. Bring your own multi-DRM licence service or use our integrated key server.
Clear-key & AES
AES-128 and SAMPLE-AES encryption with token-gated key delivery for content that does not require studio DRM — cheaper, still protected, still edge-enforced.
Output protection
HDCP level enforcement, security-level-aware ladders (SD on L3, UHD on L1/SL3000), screenshot and screen-recording blocking on mobile where the OS allows.
Forensic watermarking
Session-based A/B or client-side watermarking to trace leaked streams back to an account — optional integration with leading watermarking providers.
Entitlements & concurrency
Per-user device registration, concurrent-stream limits, geo-fencing and blackout rules, evaluated at licence request time and at the edge.
Protected recordings & downloads
nPVR recordings and offline downloads stay encrypted under the same DRM policy, with expiry and revocation if a subscription ends.
Protected casting
Cast and AirPlay sessions negotiate their own DRM licence on the receiver, so protected content is never handed over in the clear.
Anti-tampering
Certificate pinning, obfuscated builds, root/jailbreak detection with configurable policy, and signed configurations that reject modified endpoints.
One configuration, every screen
Native clients and the HTML5 player share one feature set and one customer configuration, so a change in the dashboard reaches all devices at once.

How a customer goes live
The apps ship empty. A customer configuration is what turns them into a branded TV service.
Configuration
We create a customer configuration in the dashboard: branding, channel line-up, EPG source, feature flags (time-shift window, recording quota, downloads), DRM policy and legal texts.
Entitlements
The customer connects its subscriber system or uses our entitlement API to issue end-user credentials. Devices, concurrency and geo rules are set here.
Distribution
End users install the NagaOne Player from the app stores and sign in with the credentials the customer issued — or the customer receives a fully white-labelled build under its own name.
Evaluating the player
For evaluation and app-store review, a NagaOne-operated demonstration configuration is available. It contains only openly licensed material (Blender Foundation open movies and, where agreements permit, licensed live channels), is clearly labelled "DEMO", and can be changed or withdrawn at any time. It is not a content offering. Business customers can request evaluation access through the contact form.
Who to contact
Support for the NagaOne Player is provided to our business customers. End users of a customer's service should contact that customer, whose details are shown inside the app.
